On April 30, 2026, we, Wickert Maschinenbau GmbH, were honored as a "Hidden Champion" of the Southern Palatinate in Kandel. Together with 21 other companies from the districts of Germersheim, Südliche Weinstraße, and the city of Landau, we were recognized at a ceremonial event held in the Kandel Town Hall.
The award is based on the study "Hidden Champions of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion," conducted by Prof. Dr. Jan-Philipp Büchler from Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts on behalf of the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion GmbH. The study shows that more than 100 companies from the region are national or international market leaders. Wickert Maschinenbau is one of them.
The term "Hidden Champion" refers to companies that are often not widely known to the general public but hold a leading position in their respective markets. This is exactly what we strive for at Wickert every day: the highest quality, technical innovation, and international competitiveness.
We are very pleased about this recognition and see it as confirmation of our daily work—and at the same time as an incentive to continue on this path consistently.
