We look back on a successful Heat Treatment Congress 2024! The trade fair and industry event provided us with the opportunity to connect with industry colleagues and potential new customers, allowing us to initiate new projects with innovative solutions.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our booth!
The Heat Treatment Congress is Europe’s largest specialized congress for innovations in the fields of heat treatment, materials technology, manufacturing, and process engineering. In its 80th edition, the congress took place from October 8 to 10, 2024, at the Koelnmesse, organized by the Association for Heat Treatment and Materials Technology (AWT).
A special highlight for this anniversary was the "Talking Heat" networking evening on the first day of the fair. In a relaxed atmosphere, professionals had the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions on practical topics at the exhibitors' booths.
The Heat Treatment Congress combines scientific presentations with practical sessions on innovations in steel heat treatment. Numerous interesting presentations from research and development projects highlighted the importance of heat treatment as a "small but very significant part" of industrial production.
Alongside the congress, an exhibition took place in Hall 10.2 of the Koelnmesse, featuring around 110 exhibitors showcasing their latest products and developments. Approximately 200 congress participants and 1,000 trade visitors attended to learn about the latest advancements in steel heat treatment, materials development, production, and processing.
The congress focused on the development of new materials and the reduction of CO2 emissions in the production and refinement, particularly in the heat treatment of steels. The significance of energy savings and the use of waste heat at typical operating temperatures of 800 to 900 degrees Celsius was emphasized.
The showcased products included heat treatment systems, components, equipment, consumables, and auxiliary materials for heat treatment, as well as systems for surface, testing, and measurement technology, along with services in consulting, planning, and engineering.
We are delighted to have been part of this significant event and look forward to future projects and developments!
