Wickert had been able to successfully install new investments in terms of capital equipment in the internal mechanical machine shop. An over all investment of Euro 1,5 mio had been done for a deep trilling milling center including rotary table for the machining of the Wickert heating platen technology. With this new investment Wickert will ensure their leading position in the heading platen development and production for compression presses. In addition a new milling center with a maximum capacity of 7.000 x 2.000 mm had been installed. The fully NC controlled machine with an overall weight of a approx. 50 to will ensure a precise and on schedule machining for future needs. This meets with the Wickert strategy to deliver large machinery to their markets.
With this investment Wickert points out once more their philosophy to invest in high quality machines in order to manufacture high quality presses. It ensures capacity as well as flexibility for the future.
